John Girgis, Bsc N.D.
Dr. John Girgis, ND completed the Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine program at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto after studying biology at Concordia University in Montreal.
Following his studies, he completed an internship at the Queen West Community Health Centre which exposed him to a wide range of patients in a family medicine practice. It was his first opportunity working with a family doctor which stimulated his interest in integrating the best of conventional and naturopathic medicine. In addition to family medicine, his interest in how the environment affects our health led him to complete a 1 year program for health professionals at McMaster University in environmental and occupational Health. During the time in the program he worked with Dr. Allison Bested, MD who is a renowned authority on the topic of environmental medicine, chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, and multiple chemical sensitivities.
He believes that addressing any health concern involves a whole person approach - taking into consideration oneÃ¢s environment, diet, and lifestyle. This approach and his experiences at McMaster led him to lecture extensively in workplaces and provide workplace health promotion programs for employees.
In addition, he has had extra training in anti-aging medicine, bio-identical hormone replacement, and intravenous vitamin therapy.

In addition to practicing Naturopathic Medicine he is passionate about yoga, meditation, cycling, and hiking and he completed an 8 month Yoga teachers training at Downward Dog Yoga in Toronto.
He is licensed to practice Naturopathic Medicine in Ontario and in good standing with the Board of Drugless Practitioners-Naturopathy (BDDT-N), and holds a professional membership with the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND).
