Every year we run many Hormone Diet Bootcamp sessions, often two groups simultaneously like this past time. I always find the groups so motivational. Something magical happens when you have a group of people in a room with the common goal of wellness – their individual goals might be different but they all enter Clear Medicine eager to learn how to help their hormones and want to feel better!
Today, I asked my bootcamp group to share one benefit, tip, habit or behaviour that they really liked or that they felt they were going to keep implementing in their lifestyle post bootcamp series.
Here are some of the answers I received:
My skin is so much brighter
I am addicted to the collagen and the improvements it has caused me to experience in my digestive health and pain, my skin, my hair, my nails, my joints
I found the 2 cups of cooked vegetables made a huge difference for me. I used to eat 2 cups of greens and it never made me full
I am grateful for the awareness that I have gained between certain foods and how they make me feel from an allergenic perspective and a blood sugar response perspective. For example, I used to eat brown rice all the time and I had it the other day, I couldn’t believe how tired, groggy, and messed up it made me feel
I found eating my dinner earlier made a huge difference
I found going to bed earlier instead of watching my show from 9-10PM, which meant it was 10:30-11 before I got in bed. I stopped watching the show, I PVR’d it and watched it the next night from 8-9PM and was able to go to bed by 9:30-10 and I feel a huge improvement
I now love going to the grocery store and having the knowledge of reading labels and knowing what’s good and bad for me. And I love shopping for new high-protein, low-carb foods.
I have found a big benefit to eating all my meals earlier and on time based on my activities
What I have made an effort to do it be very diligent when I can be. This helps to keep me on track and progressing like on the weekends and other times when it may be more difficult
I found eating more protein was hugely beneficial in preventing cravings and preventing me from getting hungry
I noticed I used to crash at 3PM, my energy during the day is now completely consistent and so much better. Now I crash at 9:30-10 when I’m supposed to. I have also lost 5lbs which I ’m really happy about.
I really love the collagen for my skin, I am addicted to it
I have changed my workouts to get better results and have changed to do my weights before my cardio. Now my strength is so much better during my strength training workouts

I haven’t been able to lose weight for the past 5 years no matter what I did. I have lost 6.6lbs and an inch off my belly button.
