Natasha is a New York Times bestselling author and a graduate of Mount Allison University Bachelor of Science (Class of 1993). She earned her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (1993) and practiced as a fully licensed ND for 22 years. She founded Clear Medicine Wellness Boutique™ in Toronto in 2008. Its process of patient care and treatment philosophy is based on her practical approach and best-selling books. Her first book, The Hormone Diet, became a #1 bestseller within one week of its release in the spring of 2009 and was the top-selling health book in Canada for that year. It is also #69 on CBC’s Top Bestselling Books of the Decade for Canada’s 150th birthday. Her second book, The Supercharged Hormone Diet, became a #1 national bestseller on its first day of release in March 2011. Upon its USA release in November 2011, it became a New York Times bestseller. This diet has also made the US News Best Diet list for over five years. Her third book, The Carb Sensitivity Program made the bestseller list the first week of its release in March 2012. In December 2016, Natasha released her fourth book The Hormone Boost, which became a #1 bestseller as well. It is a simple wellness plan that works to harness the power of the six hormones linked to weight loss, strength, and energy.
She has appeared as a guest on the Dr. Oz Show, which has an audience of 30 million viewers per week. Following the episode on her Hormone Diet, she was invited back over 10 times and referred to by Dr. Oz as a “friend of the show”. Natasha has been a regular guest on The Marilyn Denis Show since its launch in 2011, and subsequently has become the most popular daytime Canadian talk show. During her publishing and media career thus far, Natasha has been featured hundreds of times in radio, print and TV interviews, many of which are beyond the borders of Canada, including England, Australia, The Czech Republic, Turkey, The USA, Brazil and many more outlets.
In 2014, she was recognized as a leader in her field and in 2016 was awarded the top spot on a list of North America’s Most Innovative Health Consultants. Her goal is to inspire others to make positive lifestyle choices in order to enjoy healthier lives. Her passion for promoting wellness, fitness and integrated medicine makes her a sought-after speaker for corporations, the public and the education of other medical professionals.
Most recently, she has been commissioned by HarperCollins to write a fifth book, which is due for release in December 2022. She is working on an app to complement this program and also says she has two more books in her. Let’s just see what happens! She’s loving creating programs for Clear Medicine, is very closely involved in the day-to-day operations, and loves working with her team. She wants to influence the way we approach modern medicine – how’s that for a lofty goal?
Lastly, and outside of the publishing and wellness boutique world, Natasha is currently working in a joint effort with her close friend Phil Chin. Together they are investing their hearts and souls into an initiative to raise funds for brain injuries, mental health, and addiction.
