Make your own Burger Bowl recipe:
(You can use the protein of your choice between grass fed beef, beyond meat, chicken, or turkey)
1. Pan fry garlic and onions
2. In a mixing bowl, combine one pound ground meat (or whatever you prefer), 1 egg, salt, pepper, and Franks red hot, and mix with your hands. If it’s too runny, add gluten free or regular bread crumbs. Make four patties. BBQ them once set.
3. Cut up two patties, add them to a bowl, and add your favourite burger toppings, such as shredded lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, Cajun mayo, mustard, etc. Swiss cheese is your best low fat, high protein option. Also some people like to have bib lettuce as the bun and eat this way. I personlly love to just throw all my favourite veggies in a bowl and add the patties and condiments on top.
This is a great meal for the cottage or summer BBQ.
